Internship at Admitad

The first working experience is never an easy one, even if it is a short-term production practice. How should you understand in which direction it would be more interesting to develop? What to expect from the first interview? How to get the most out of an internship and justify yourself?

We talked to our interns about their expectations and fears, their first impressions of the company, and the skills they acquired.

Expectations

Polina, Corporate Communications

I checked the website and I immediately had an associative row — business, people with laptops, calls. An office routine that I’ve almost never seen live.

Anastasia, HR

Before the internship, I checked the company’s social networks. I liked the office photos and could not even believe that these were real photographs and not painted pictures. On the contrary, everything turned out exactly like this: a stylish, bright, people-oriented office. There is everything here that you could use: a kitchen with delicious syrups and fresh fruits, a wardrobe, comfortable rooms for work, leisure areas and a library. And by the way, on the second day, I went to the library and found a captivating book there.

Veronika, Corporate Communications

I was really looking forward to the beginning of the internship because not only was it a new experience for me, but it was also crucial that the practice would be partially offline. When will you ever have such an opportunity to work in the office of an international company, especially while you are a student?

The first day at admitad office

Paula, Junior Marketing Manager DACH, working student

My first day went smoothly. Everyone here is so kind and nice. I like the office and I do prefer to work from here because Admitad has a nice environment. Employees of the company are so welcoming, they can always help me with everything.

Ulyana, HR

I enjoyed the first introductory day. I know that some guys didn’t have it at all, and instead they were just given tasks upfront and sent to free swimming. Furthermore, we were told about what the company is doing, along with what would  be included in our tasks — it was a highly individual approach. Everyone was interested in what exactly we wanted to do and what tasks we wanted to perform.

Irina, Marketing

The place itself seemed unusual and cool to me. For example, in the office there is a vending machine with free juices and water, as well as a room for sleeping. When I’m in a lovely place, it’s easier for me to work, so it really motivates me. It’s cool when there are spaces such as this.

Acquired skills

Anastasia, Content Marketing

During my practice I found out my strengths and paid attention to what else needs to be improved. I gained important professional skills, for example, the ability to analyze materials and work with videos. As a result, I understood that the field of marketing is appealing to me.

Veronika, Corporate Communications

During the internship, I understood the role of Employer Branding and its importance. I also learned what EVP is and how to create it. Now I know  how to work with texts and prepare materials for publication in the media. I do believe that I can apply all this valuable knowledge and will feel more confident in my future employment.

Paula, Junior Marketing Manager DACH, working student

I think that all the things I learned in Admitad will be useful for my future career. I find out so much new for myself and I have connected with so many people. Moreover, I can use my additional skills: the thing I learned in university and I can apply it in my job. The most challenging thing was that I haven’t worked  with a B2B product before.  And it’s a new experience for me.

Ulyana, HR

In the meanwhile of the internship, I realized that I didn’t want to perform only a job search. I find this monotonous work that you get tired of pretty quickly. The most valuable thing was to understand what suits you and what doesn’t. If I continue working in HR, then, of course, all the experience gained will be useful. If I choose another field, then the phrase in my resume “internship in an international Admitad company” will surely distinguish me among the candidates.

Victoria, Content Marketing

During this period, I gained the knowledge of how to write articles correctly for the educational media. Plus, I found out more about their structure and style. Moreover, I observed the relationship between marketing and intercultural theories in practice, and also began to understand logos, fonts and colours.

Maria, HR

I gained the experience of passing an interview before being selected for practice and improved the skill of self-presentation  —  I constantly had to introduce myself.

Anastasia, Content Marketing

It was interesting to learn about the company values. Employees themselves pointed out what they appreciate in the corporate culture. It’s a plus to Admitad`s karma.
